Militia Questions

Hola de nuevo

I am working on an English play sheet and I have some questions regarding the Agrupacion de Milicianos list. Both these units are not used by our Militia player so these questions never came up before.

1: Seccion de Ametralladoras (page #6 & #26). They are described as Republican army troops (bottom left page #6). Should they have the allied troops republican roundel logo on their entry? Also as Republican army troops do they benefit from the "Frentes Pasivos" rule (dig in on 3+)?

"Sections of machine guns weapons correspond to units of the Republican army, and therefore have the motivation and expertise of those sections, confident trained." - My translation of the entry on page #6.

2: Bateria de Artilleria Ligera (top entry page #6 and page #36): They are not listed as republican popular army (unlike the lower entry). I assume they are rated Confident Trained and not subject to the Abajo la Cadenas rule. Is this correct?

Muchas Gracias.

Hi.
It is not the same
Militants list carries no popular army machine guns are not allies. You can not benefit from the rule Frentes Pasivos
It belongs to the list of militants

"Sections of machine guns weapons correspond to units of the Republican army, and therefore have the motivation and expertise of those sections, confident trained." - My translation of the entry on page #6.

The battery of light artillery must pass the rule Abajo las Cadenas.
At the inception of the war many weapons were used by inexperienced men

Muchas Gracias.

Yes, the "sección de ametralladoras" comes from the Republican Army (so Confident Trained and the same rules as Republican army, including "Frentes pasivos" so dug in with 3+). Not all the Republican army sections you can buy in a Militia Lists have the "alled" rule, as you can see on those sections without the roundel logo (HMg, mortar, light artillery, etc)

"Sections of machine guns weapons correspond to units of the Republican army, and therefore have the motivation and expertise of those sections, confident trained." - My translation of the entry on page #6.

That is not specified as HMG sections, but I think they should be Regular army also. I'll ask one of the creator of España en Llamas just to check it out

George, the rule Abajo las Cadenas, is for CENTURIAS (militia), not for other platoons:

Down with the chains
To reflect the variable quality of the various militias, after deployment, but before the first turn, roll a die for each Centuria and attached teams and determine the combat morale and Training

Gracias a todos.

Thanks for the clarification.

I have identified some more errata. Jinites de Carros. This special rule is already covered in the main 3rd edition rulebook pp #200-201.
